NEWMAP-EIB Project Team, Gombe State Congratulates His Excellency Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on 7th Anniversary in Office

The NEWMAP-EIB, Gombe State Project Management Unit, heartily congratulates His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, Dan Majen Gombe on attaining 7 years of purposeful leadership as Executive Governor of Gombe State. Seven years of steady governance have laid a strong foundation for sustainable development, and we join citizens across the state to celebrate this milestone.

Your administration’s focus on infrastructure, human capital development, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment has set Gombe on a clear path of progress. The “Network 11-100” initiative and investments that touch every LGA reflect a leadership style that prioritizes equity and long-term impact. We commend the vision that continues to inspire confidence among development partners.

Even as NEWMAP-EIB Project Gombe remains in the preparation stage, your administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability has been remarkable. Your directives on flood management, erosion control, and climate resilience show a proactive stance toward protecting lives and livelihoods. This foresight is exactly what enables projects like NEWMAP-EIB to take root successfully.

Currently in the preparatory stage, NEWMAP-EIB Project Gombe has benefitted immensely from the support and guidance of your government. The cooperation of relevant MDAs, timely data sharing, and commitment to counterpart obligations have made site assessments, safeguard studies, and design work progress smoothly. Your administration’s readiness has positioned Gombe well for effective project rollout when implementation begins.

During this preparation stage, our team has engaged communities in erosion-prone areas across in Gombe metropolis. The hope and anticipation we see among residents is a direct result of the trust your government has built over the last 7 years. Citizens are confident that, under your leadership, their long-standing challenges with gully erosion and flooding will soon be addressed through the upcoming NEWMAP-EIB interventions.
