NEWMAP-EIB PROJECT LAUNCHES 3-DAY CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM FOR EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION
The Nigeria Climate Adaptation-Erosion and Watershed Project (NEWMAP-EIB), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment and the European Investment Bank (EIB), successfully organized a 3-day Project Implementation Take-off Induction Course / Capacity Building Program at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse II, Abuja, from Wednesday, 1st October to Friday, 3rd October 2025. The program was designed to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance project implementation strategies, and ensure a smooth take-off for the newly launched initiative.
Objectives of the Program
The primary objective of the program was to equip project implementers, stakeholders, and team members with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to execute the project’s objectives effectively. The program aimed to foster a deep understanding of the project’s components, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes, as well as to promote collaboration and teamwork among project stakeholders.
Participation and Engagement
The NEWMAP-EIB Gombe team fully participated in this important program, which was attended by representatives from various states, government agencies, and development partners. The participants engaged in interactive sessions, group discussions, and presentations, sharing their experiences and expertise in project implementation, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience.
