The Gombe State European Investment Bank Assisted Nigeria Climate Adaptation-Erosion and Watershed Project, NEWMAP-EIB, team, led by the Project Coordinator, Dr. Shittu Whanda Ja’afaru, undertook a visit to the NEWMAP plant nursery at Bogo, Akko LGA, with the objective of assessing its current state.

The team engaged in discussions with nursery workers, focusing on the development of pragmatic plans aimed at rehabilitating the site, maintaining seedlings production, enhancing environmental sustainability, and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.

The community and nursery workers extended a warm welcome to the team and expressed their willingness to support project activities, thereby reinforcing awareness and laying a solid groundwork for effective project implementation within the community and Gombe State.
