YOUTH O’CLOCK ADVANCEMENT ASSOCIATION SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH NEWMAP-EIB, GOMBE SPMU.

A team from Youth O’clock Advancement Association, a non-governmental organization, paid a courtesy visit to the Gombe State office of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP-EIB) to explore possible partnership and collaboration opportunities.
Led by Abdulaziz Sani Labaran, the team presented an overview of their organization, highlighting their areas of focus, which include climate change, agriculture, and advocacy.
These areas of interest align with the thematic focus of NEWMAP-EIB, sparking interest in potential collaboration.
During the presentation, the team emphasized the importance of community engagement and sensitization in combating climate change. They expressed their desire to become a focal NGO for NEWMAP-EIB and work together to address climate-related issues in the state.
The Project Coordinator (PC) of NEWMAP-EIB, Gombe State, commended the efforts of Youth O’clock Advancement Association and appreciated their presentation. However, he informed the team that NEWMAP-EIB is yet to disburse funds for the project.
The PC assured the organization that they will be considered for partnership once the project kicks start. “We will support your organization when the project commences,” he promised.
The team from Youth O’clock Advancement Association expressed gratitude to the PC for the opportunity to present their proposal and looked forward to a potential partnership with NEWMAP-EIB.
